Job summary

CVR Energy, Inc. is seeking a CDL driver to safely transport hazmat products (LPG, Ethanol, anhydrous ammonia, biofuels, or refined fuels) via tank truck. Must hold a CDL with X endorsement and have basic knowledge of electronic dispatch and logs.

Expect overnight stays and flexible scheduling to meet operational needs. Applicants should have at least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience and be willing to work expanded shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a current CDL license with X endorsement, per DOT regulations.
• 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience required.
• Hazmat transportation experience preferred.
• Willingness to work expanded shifts, weekends, and schedule changes.
• Willingness to share assigned truck/trailer on rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• On time pickups, deliveries, and the safe transportation of LPG, ethanol, or other specified products.
• Maintain a clean driving record per Federal, State, and DOT regulations.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Inspect assigned tractor/trailer equipment for DOT compliance.
• Communicate progress, concerns, and questions with management.
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer service standards.
• Maintain a safe, healthy work environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide safe and efficient transportation ofhazmat products, to include but not limited to, LPG, Ethanol, anhydrous ammonia, biofuels and /or refined fuels via tank truck. (Not a crude hauling position). Follow all guidelines and regulations for hauling bulk liquid hazmat products. Meet established transport productivity requirements. Demonstrate the ability to operate a hydraulic pump system in a safe manner. Utilize electronic dispatching software and electronic logging device. Digitally prepare run tickets, vehicle inspection records, and electronic driver logs in strict adherence with all Company and agency-required environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Maintain strict adherence to all company, Federal, State, City, local laws, regulations and standards to include obtaining any state licensing, as necessary. Maintain flexibility to adapt to schedule changes including overnight stays, nights, and weekend.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must have a current CDL license with X endorsement, as per DOT regulations

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience is required, including driving a tractor trailer unit with a GVW of 80,000 lbs. or above
• Hazmat transportation experience is preferred
• Experience with receiving dispatch electronically and electronic logging is preferred
• Willingness to work expanded shifts, weekends, and/or adapt to schedule changes as required
• Willingness to share assigned truck/trailer equipment with other drivers on a rotating schedule as required
• Willingness to have assigned days off during the week
