Heritage Pool Supply - Mansfield is seeking a CDL Driver - Hazmat to safely operate commercial vehicles for deliveries to customer locations and job sites in the Mansfield area. You will ensure timely, accurate deliveries while strictly following DOT regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, securing hazmat, documenting deliveries, and maintaining vehicle readiness. A clean driving record and valid CDL are required, with DOT medical certification and FMCSA

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A or B) required.
• Current DOT Medical Certification.
• FMCSA Registration.
• Ability to lift and handle freight up to 100 pounds.
• Clean driving record; no DWI/DUI in the last 18 months.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA safety regulations.
• Basic computer skills to record deliveries and track inventory.

The CDL Driver - Hazmat is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver products to customer locations or job sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while following all DOT regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and maintain a clean driving record to make sure company vehicles are operated safely and responsibly.


• Comply with all federal and state regulations regarding transportation of hazardous materials


• Inspect vehicles before and after trips to help ensure safe and on-time deliveries


• Load, unload, and organize orders carefully ensuring that all products are properly secured, and hazardous material is separated appropriately.


• Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations


• Double-check purchase orders and delivery tickets to confirm routes and inventory, helping reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction.


• Support job site safety by checking for and reporting any potential hazards, to help prevent accidents and protect people and property.


• Take photos of all delivered products as required by company policy.


• Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and receipts


• The CDL Driver role requires local travel, with deliveries commencing and concluding at the branch.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds throughout the workday.


• The job involves consistent physical activity, including bending, crouching, and prolonged seating and standing.


• Must meet DOT medical certification standards to operate vehicles safely.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)


• Current DOT Medical Certification


• Completion of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) Registration


• Ability to continuously lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds.


• A clean driving record (no hit & runs and no DWI/DUI in the last 18 months)


• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance and OSHA safety regulations


• Basic computer skills to record deliveries and track inventory on a computer or tablet


• High school diploma or equivalent of both experience and education


• No prior experience required; however, commercial driving experience and familiarity with DOT/OSHA safety regulations are a preferred.


• While there is no specified minimum year of commercial driving experience required, having prior commercial driving experience and an understanding of DOT & OSHA safety regulations is considered advantageous for this role.
