Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a delivery driver to service customers from Store #4325 in Tampa, FL. You will deliver paints and related products, load and unload, and ensure orders are accurate and delivered safely and on time.

You will interact with customers, follow routes, maintain vehicles, and comply with DOT and safety requirements, including CDL with hazmat endorsement and MEC, while maintaining a professional customer service approach.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted CDL with hazmat endorsement.
• Must have a valid MEC from a DOT-licensed examiner or be willing to obtain one within five business days of conditional offer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Must read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products, including hazardous materials, to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using box and flat-bed trucks.
• Load customer orders properly on the truck and ensure deliveries meet customer requirements.
• Maintain the store vehicle and report repair needs to the supervisor.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer questions and complaints.
• Adhere to routes and time schedules, comply with transportation laws, and maintain a safe driving record.
• Prepare reports and documents relating to deliveries and operate equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts.
• Perform warehouse duties and assist with tinting and mixing customer orders as needed.
