Job summary

Moffitt Services, a Texas-based fuel and lubricants distributor, seeks a CDL driver to safely operate and deliver fuel to local and regional clients. The role requires tanker experience and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities include planning routes, loading/unloading, completing delivery records, and coordinating with the logistics team to meet schedules. Eligible candidates possess a Class A/B CDL with hazmat/tanker endorsements and a clean background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable driving experience.
• Minimum 3 years tanker experience.
• Clean background with no felonies.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Operating and reliable cell phone (Dispatch and GPS coordinates).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness and stamina for manual tasks and operating delivery equipment.

• Load and unload bulk fuel using appropriate equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including quantities, locations, and customer signatures.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery stops.
• Coordinate with logistics to optimize routes and schedules.
• Adhere to safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly and assist with repairs.
• Keep delivery truck clean and stocked with supplies.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver fuel to various client locations.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
• Load and unload bulk fuel using appropriate equipment and follow established safety protocols.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, including quantities delivered, locations, and customer signatures.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally during delivery stops.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly and work with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.

Education

Relocation

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements

• Availability to travel for disaster response, a plus

Work Schedule/Benefits

Able to work a rotating schedule (Typically 5/2) - May have to work weekends and holidays.
