Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is seeking a Front Load Driver to service commercial customers on assigned routes in Milford, OH.

The role requires operating front-load trucks, performing routine inspections, and maintaining accurate logs while delivering reliable waste and recycling service. Ideal candidates will hold a valid CDL Class B, have strong English communication skills, and be comfortable working nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Required CDL Class B license and a valid DOT Medical Card.
• Must be 19 years of age or older and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Pre-employment testing and background checks required.
• Ability to read, understand maps and road signs; English communication skills essential.

Responsabilités

• Operate front-load trucks to service commercial customers on assigned routes.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain logs.
• Unload containers safely and assist in routing and unloading at sites.
• Interact professionally with customers and maintain truck cleanliness.
• Adhere to safety procedures and lockout/tagout when required.

Front Load Drivers are responsible for servicing commercial customers on an assigned route(s) with the collection and hauling of waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant. Drivers will dump front-load containers utilizing the forks of the truck but may be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.

Responsibilities of Position

• Operate trucks in a safe manner to provide trash or recycling removal services to customers on assigned route(s) and/or work orders by emptying trash/recycling containers into trucks and hauling them to a disposal site
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 100-150 times per day, depending on the assigned route
• Open and secure service gates while servicing customers
• Pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings as needed
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete DVIR logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck
• Visually inspect front load containers to ensure safe dumping procedures
• Clean up areas located around containers when servicing customers as needed
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body while following proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

• This position will not manage employees

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position

• Ability to read and understand a map and/or navigation system
• Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position

• General knowledge of truck mechanics preferred
• 1-2 years CDL truck driving experience preferred
• Previous Front Load truck driving experience preferred
• Waste industry experience, a plus

Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday

• Occasionally lifting/carrying a max of 50 lbs; rarely up to 100 lbs
• Frequently pushing/pulling a max of 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Continuously working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions
• Continuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
• Frequently stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
• Frequently climbing and/or balancing
• Frequently sitting/standing/walking

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects

• Must have at least a valid Class B CDL
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
• Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
• Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas
• Exposure to residential and commercial waste
• Ability to travel between offices, as required
• Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidaysLegally eligible to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license (if applicable)
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
• Must be able to read and speak the English language
