Qualifications

• Requires understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Able to work independently in field conditions.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• CDL license is required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders from a supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new or revised work units.
• Enforces safe work practices per policy and OSHA standards.
• Discusses access, power outages, and job scope with property owners/customers.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintains customer relations through safe, effective completion of tasks.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and crew reports.
• Controls crew costs and optimal use of resources.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed and incidents as needed.
• Cooperates with authorities when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and safety signs to protect workers and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and equipment.
