Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician near Toccoa, GA. This role requires a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement and involves installing, maintaining, and repairing bulk storage tanks and beverage carbonation systems at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• No more than 2 traffic convictions or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years.
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last 7 years.
• Ability to work in a drug-free environment.
• 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years OR a Trucking school certificate (last 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Installation & Mechanics: Perform hands-on mechanical work using hand tools, power tools, and drills to run lines, install centralized Microbulk cryogenic tanks, set up gas monitors, and mount control boxes at commercial customer sites.
• Maintenance & Emergency Service: Respond to service calls, troubleshoot gas line or tank issues, perform system inspections, and replace faulty equipment to minimize downtime for the customer.
• Physical Work: Maneuver ladders, run tubing through ceilings, drill into structures, and use specialized hand trucks to move large stainless steel tanks.
• Autonomy & Schedule Flexibility: Work with a high degree of independence, be self-motivated, and travel (including overnight stays) as territory needs require.
