Job summary

Advance Plumbing & Septic of Birmingham is seeking a CDL Class A Field Service Technician to perform septic tank pump-outs, grease pumping, and equipment deliveries in the Birmingham area. This is a hands-on, physical field role with driving making up about 40% of work.

You must have a valid Class A CDL and tanker endorsement, be able to lift 55 lb+, and be comfortable working in septic environments. Home daily with overtime and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Tanker endorsement required before first day.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial or military driving experience.
• Ability to operate a 10-speed manual transmission.
• Medically qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs or more and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum/pump trucks and service vehicles.
• Perform septic tank pump-outs and grease pumping.
• Inspect septic systems and communicate findings to customers.
• Assist with equipment delivery, installations, and job-site support.
• Manual excavation by hand to access septic tank lids when needed.
• Handle sewage and waste safely and professionally.
• Complete required documentation and follow safety procedures.
• Occasional evening work for specific customers.
