Job summary

Dyno Nobel, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver / Equipment Operator to deliver ANFO and other explosives products. You will operate trucks and equipment, manage records, and ensure safety in loading, transport, and on blast sites.

The role requires reliable, safety-conscious individuals with a valid CDL and endorsements. Employees receive safety bonuses, health benefits, 401k matching, tuition reimbursement, vacation and holidays, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• Class A or B CDL required.
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brakes endorsements.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience preferred (explosives industry an asset).
• Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verbally.
• Willingness to work early mornings and 10-12 hour shifts.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to prepare and deliver explosive products to customers safely and efficiently.
• Complete inventory records, documentation, and reports.
• Drive/operate straight bed vehicles on public roads to move or deliver products to sites.
• Deliver and off-load product within safety management procedures.
• Calibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages, and check emulsion density.
• Maintain safety and comply with DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA and BATFE policies.

What You'll Do

As the CDL Driver / Equipment Operator, you will operate all types of Dyno Nobel trucks and specialty equipment to prepare and deliver explosive products to customers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. You will be responsible for completing inventory records, other appropriate documentation and reports. Other duties will include:

• Drive/operate straight bed vehicles over public roads in order to move or deliver explosive products to company or customer sites in a timely and safe manner
• Drive and operate bulk/blend truck in order to prepare and deliver quality ANFO products to customer sites
• Operate and perform maintenance on trucks
• Deliver and off load product within company H&S Management System procedures and practices
• Calibrate equipment, calculate fuel percentages, and check emulsion density
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions while driving and operating equipment, and while on blast sites in order to protect personal safety and safety of others
• Prepare and maintain records and reports concerning the handling and transportation of explosive products, including safety, and the use and detonation of explosives, in order to assure accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and performance history
• Comply with applicable DOT, OSHA, MSHA, EPA and BATFE.
