Job summary

Blue Peak Tents is seeking a CDL driver who will transport restroom trailers, generators, and HVAC units to event sites around the Chicago area. You’ll also work with the warehouse team, learning maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment you haul.

Over time you’ll develop field troubleshooting skills and a clear path into a technical career in event equipment operations, with opportunities to expand responsibilities beyond driving.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with a clean driving record and ability to tow trailers.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles and performing pre/post-trip inspections.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to handle schedule changes during events.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver restroom trailers, generators, HVAC units to sites.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on every run.
• Coordinate with on-site contacts and provide status updates.
• Inspect equipment on pickup and report any damage or issues.
• Work with the Lead Equipment Technician on non-driving days.
• Assist with restroom trailer prep, generator maintenance, and HVAC checks.
• Support equipment staging, cleaning, and organization as needed.
• Use SOPs to diagnose and resolve common equipment issues at sites.
• Document field issues and resolutions to support ongoing improvement.
