Job summary

Byrne & Jones Construction in the St. Louis metro area is hiring an experienced CDL dump truck driver for our Paving Division in Bridgeton, MO. The role focuses on safely delivering rock and asphalt to project sites and supporting site operations.

Responsibilities include conducting pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining truck logs, and coordinating with the operations manager to keep deliveries on schedule. Must pass DOT physical; Class A/B CDL required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL and clean driving history.
• Must pass or have recently passed a DOT physical.
• Physically able to operate, move about, and maintain a dump truck.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to change.

• Loads and hauls equipment on TAG tri-axle trailers behind dump trucks.
• Performs daily pre/post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles and trailers.
• Maintains a truck log following state and federal regulations and company policy.
• Communicates with the operations manager to follow delivery schedules and report issues.
• Complies with truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair guidelines.

We are seeking an experienced CDL dump truck driver for our Paving Division based in Bridgeton, MO.

Responsibilities Include, But Are NOT Limited To

• Safely drives dump trucks to destinations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area to deliver rock and/or asphalt to our project sites and crews.
• Ability to load and haul equipment on TAG tri-axle trailers behind dump trucks. Equipment might typically include pavers and skid-steers.
• Makes daily pre/post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles and trailers to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or non-working parts.
• Maintains a truck log following state and federal regulations and company policy.
• Communicate regularly with the operations manager to ensure that the delivery schedule is followed and that any traffic problems or site conditions are reported promptly.
• Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair, following the guidelines specified by company policy.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
