Job summary

Gator Dredging is seeking a CDL Dump Truck Driver to operate Tri-axle dump trucks (Peterbilt/Kenworth Auto Allison). The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience and a valid CDL Class A or B with a clean record.

Responsibilities include transporting materials, ensuring loads meet weight limits, performing routine maintenance, and daily ELD inspections. The job is outdoors, with travel as needed and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating a Tri-axle dump truck.
• Valid CDL Class A or B with clean record.
• DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration required.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to travel.
• Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• OSHA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport material (dry or wet) to and from locations.
• Verify material types and weight restrictions.
• Ensure proper loading onto the dump truck.
• Perform truck maintenance and daily checks.
• Keep equipment clean; check fluids and grease daily.
• Report accidents, injuries, or faults to management.
• Conduct daily ELD pre/post-trip inspections.
• Comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Assist in mobilizations/demobilizations as needed.
• Provide own mobile device for ELD use.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

CDL Dump Truck Driver

Gator Dredging is looking for safe, dependable, stable, and hardworking CDL Dump Truck Driver. Our Dump Truck CDL Drivers are operating Peterbilt and Kenworth Automatic Allison Transmissions. You must have a minimum of 3 years' experience operating a Tri-axle dump truck.

Starting Hourly Pay Range for This Position: $18.00 to $22.00. This is based on previous work experience and skill level.

Job Responsibilities for The CDL Dump Truck Driver:

• Transporting material (Dry or Wet) to and from specified locations.
• Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
• Ensuring that the materials are loaded correctly onto the dump truck.
• Performing Regular maintenance to ensure that the truck is in good working order.
• Must keep up with cleaning equipment, checking fluids and grease daily.
• Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management.
• Makes daily ELD pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or work parts or for any signs of tampering.
• Complying with all safety rules and regulations.
• Assist in Mobilizations/Demobilizations as needed.
• This position will include miscellaneous labor help on job site.
• Must be motivated and able to work independently.
• Other duties as time to time assigned.
• Provide your own personal mobile device to run required ELD application.
• Must be able to work outside for entire shift in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet) required.

Qualifications for The CDL Dump Truck Driver:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience operating a Tri-axle dump truck.
• Previous experience properly using a DOT ELD application required.
• Highschool diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A or B with a clean record.
• Medical Certification: A valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Must be registered in the FMCSA Clearinghouse for pre-employment query
• It is Required to have a reliable transportation to and from work.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Able to operate heavy equipment a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to travel.
• Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
• OSHA Certifications a plus.

Physical Demands/Work Environment for the Marine / Boat Mechanic:

• Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
• Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift-up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.
