Job description

We are seeking construction laborers, both unskilled and skilled, to become an integral part of our team! We have several projects in the Laredo and surrounding areas and are in need of knowledgeable persons. Training is available for the right individuals who do not have prior experience. Experience is compensated at competitive rates. Experience with public utility installation along roadways is helpful. Carpentry, plumbing, and light electrical skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and operate commercial vehicles and combination vehicles/trailers to job sites.
  • Assist in the installation of roadway electrical and traffic signal systems.
  • Perform work with minimal supervision.
  • Dedicate yourself to doing the work right the first time.
  • Take direction on daily duties and be able to think independently when circumstances require.
  • Install conduit, ground boxes, cable, concrete work, and foundations.
  • Operate various types of construction equipment (helpful but not mandatory).
  • Work around traffic and heavy equipment safely.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in roadway lighting or traffic signals is a plus but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with roadway electrical installation or willingness to learn.
  • Current driver’s license, class A with combination endorsement.
  • Experience driving light to medium-sized construction vehicles with trailers.
  • Reliable transportation to the job site.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with outdoor construction activities.
