Position: CDL Driver at Sunland Asphalt & Construction, LLC

Location: Denver, Colorado

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver will operate heavy equipment, transport materials, and perform general labor duties. A valid CDL license and tanker endorsement are required or obtainable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform duties in alignment with Sunland's Core Values.
• Operate heavy machinery such as trucks, pavers, rollers, and loaders according to job specifications.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, state, and local regulations, including vehicle inspections and documentation.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work site.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Assist with equipment setup, teardown, and maintenance as needed.
• Perform general labor tasks and other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Work on construction sites in various weather conditions, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating machinery safely.
• Operate in outdoor environments, often for extended periods, with exposure to chemicals, noise, and debris.

Position Type / Hours

• Full-time position with potential evening and weekend work.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites, including overnight stays if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Fluent in English.

Certifications and Licenses

• Class A CDL license in the relevant state.
• Hazmat or tanker endorsement may be required.
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug tests, background check, and maintain a clean driving record.
