Job summary

Stier Supply Company in Irmo, SC, is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team. You will operate a day cab tractor with a 45-foot flatbed, use a Moffett lift, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries to construction sites across the Southeast.

Responsibilities include pre-trip/post-trip inspections, DOT compliance, and safe loading/unloading. Ideal candidates have a valid Class A CDL, DOT Medical Card, and forklift experience. We offer weekly pay, benefits, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Current DOT Medical Card required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform loading/unloading.
• Experience operating Moffett lifts or forklift preferred.
• Reliable with long hours and occasional state-line trips.

• Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Ensure DOT compliance, HOS, and safety policies are followed.
• Load, secure, and unload materials per delivery tickets with accuracy.
• Use Moffett lift to move materials on-site and document discrepancies.
• Communicate delivery status to Logistics Manager and maintain logs.
• Assist in warehouse loading as needed and follow PPE procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Logistics Manager.

What You'll Do:

• Operate a day cab tractor with a 45' flatbed and Moffett to transport building materials to assigned job sites.
• Perform thorough pre-trip & post-trip inspections (DVIR) and report any issues.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, HOS, and company safety policies, including ELD use.
• Safely load, secure, and unload materials at job sites, ensuring accuracy per the delivery ticket.
• Utilize the Moffett lift to transport materials from the truck to designated locations on-site.
• Verify material accuracy upon delivery and document any discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with the Logistics Manager regarding delivery status, site issues, or vehicle concerns.
• Maintain delivery records & logs as required.
• Assist in loading trucks at the warehouse as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements & ergonomic best practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a valid Class A CDL license with a clean, approved driving record.
• Possesses a current DOT Medical Card, meeting all federal regulations.
• Has experience operating Moffett lifts or similar equipment preferred.
• Previous experience operating a forklift.
• Can lift and carry up to 100 lbs. across active construction sites, including navigating uneven terrain (up to 30 feet).
• Comfortable sitting for extended periods (7+ hours per day) while driving, waiting at job sites, or operating a Moffett.
• Strong knowledge of DOT safety, Hours of Service (HOS), and CDL compliance regulations.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, especially in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in logistics, trucking, or warehouse operations is a plus.
• Tech-savvy: Able to operate and troubleshoot tablets, smartphones, and other digital tools for scheduling, data entry, and reporting.
• Committed to workplace safety and follows ergonomic best practices.

Qualifications:

• At least 21 years old
• Ability to lift 100+ lbs. repetitively.
• Must meet employment eligibility requirements.
• Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
• Current DOT Medical Card, in compliance with federal regulations.
• Proficiency in operating Moffett lifts or similar equipment.
• Must be able to legally and safely operate a vehicle across state lines on a daily basis, or as needed.
