Job summary

Alside, part of Associated Materials, LLC, is seeking a CDL driver for local deliveries to residential and commercial job sites from our Virginia Beach distribution center. You will operate trucks and forklifts, load and unload, and maintain delivery logs while following safety practices.

Requirements: Valid CDL Class A or B, at least 1 year of CDL driving experience, clean driving record (no more than 3 violations in 3 years), ability to pass a drug screen; building products experience is

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B is required.
• 1 year of CDL driving experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with building products is helpful.
• Moffett experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Local deliveries to residential and commercial job sites.
• Safely and efficiently operate vehicles, truck mounted forklifts, warehouse forklifts.
• Assist in day-to-day functions of warehouse operations while following safety practices and wearing required PPE.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Maintain accurate checklists and delivery logs.
• Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, material handling practices, and load securement policies.
• Communicate with supply center team and customers for accurate, on-time delivery.
• Review discrepancies from inventory and notifies Branch Manager.
• Accurate receiving and pulling of product to ensure accurate inventory.
• Ensure all merchandise is properly racked and tagged.
• Assist Warehouse Supervisor/ Branch Manager with inventory accuracy and quality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift or move up to 100 lbs.
• Standing, walking, and moving frequently

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid CDL Class A or B is required for this position
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Moffett experience preferred but not required
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
• Clean driving record - no more than 3 violations in the previous 3 years
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Ability to read and interpret safety policies and procedures
• High School diploma or GED

Qualifications

The hourly rate for this position is $25 an hour.
