Position Summary
To efficiently deliver product to customers in a safe, courteous, professional, compliant, and timely manner.
Position Responsibilities (May Include, But Not Limited To)
- Operate CMV safely and professionally, such as, combination vehicles or straight trucks over 10,001 lbs GVWR or GCWR.
- Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections using mobile logs.
- Safely unload and deliver product using lift gates, hand trucks, or pallet jacks.
- Complete delivery and pickup paperwork accurately.
- Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Maintain product fill levels on store racks, shelves, displays, and in coolers; transport product between truck, backroom, and display floor with MHE.
- Communicate any barriers to maintaining the route plan to supervisor.
- Report unsafe working conditions.
- Attend and complete all required training and certifications.
- Follow company policies, store policies, and all applicable laws including DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- Must be at least 21 years old or meet state legal age requirements.
- Valid Class A CDL and acceptable driving record.
- At least one year of driving experience with a Class A CDL or military equivalent.
- One year of safe driving experience in a similar CMV within the past 12 months.
- Experience in environments requiring heavy lifting, such as distribution centers or construction.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Pass post-offer drug test, background check, and DOT physical.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Beverage industry experience.
- Customer service experience including problem-solving.
- Experience with manual or powered pallet jacks.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Repetitively lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull manual transport equipment for at least 100 yards.
- Exert physically over sustained periods.
