Job Details	Job Title:	CDL EGG LOCAL PICKUP DRIVER

FLSA Status:	Non-Exempt
Position Purpose	The purposeof a local CDL-C egg truckdriveris to safely and efficiently transport eggs from 10 Lay Farms to SEL Egg Depot. This involves ensuring the utmost care and proper handling when picking up multiple pallets per farm using a manual or electronic pallet jack to transfer 7,200 eggs or fewer per pallet (one pallet at a time)from the Farm's Egg Cooler onto the Trailer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities	CDL Driver's duties and responsibilities are as follows; however, please note the list provided is not exhaustive: Carefully and correctly loadand unloadpallets of Eggs from Lay Farms ontothe trailer, and from the trailer into Egg Depot, and from the Egg Depot onto weekly Interstate Drivers' trailers for transporting the Egg Depot to various Hatcheries. Ensuring and maintaining consistency focus on avoiding and/or minimizing risk of breakage, damage, or destruction of every shipment/transport (local and interstate). Delivering Lay farm supplies (SSTs, binding strips, rolls of tape, Export supplies, purple flats, cardboards, export boxes, labels, etc.)to Farm Managers as needed by collaborating with each Farm Manager prior to leaving to pick up Eggs. A constant checkof the Egg Depot temperature and trailers. Constantly adhere to SEL biosecurity and safety protocols. Maintain accurate truck logs in accordance with state and federal regulations. Ensure the truck and trailers are kept clean (inside and out) andsanitized before and between pickups at different farms. Ensure all trailers transporting our Eggs are not only white-glove clean but also completely dry (with no moisture) and have a temperature set at 68 degrees before loading. Entering your daily egg counts by farms into M-Tech via office desktop computer (easy and requires little time once trained, and you enter the information after a couple oftimes). Responsible for obtaining and checking every Farm's Egg Pallet sheet for accuracy according to what you have picked up before leaving. Anydiscrepancies should be resolved between you and the Egg House representative or the Farm Manager, to ensure you are both in agreement on the total number of eggs you are leaving with. Responsible for providing a copy of everyEgg pick-up paperwork for the Lay Farm to the Administration at the Field Office upon return to the Egg Depot. Maintain an acceptable MVR to drive a company vehicle. Display good written and verbal communication. Ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate. All employees must comply with the company’s rules and regulations regarding biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety.We are committed to providing all our employees witha safe and secure working environment. Principal Accountabilities	Clearly and effectively communicate with and follow the directives of the Breeder Division Manager. Ensures the safety and careof Select Genetics' assets and all employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders. Present a positive and professional image of Select Genetics, LLC Communicates the need for any vehicle repairs or maintenance to the DBM or Logistics Manager without delay. A take-charge personality is welcome, provided you communicate it to the DBM or Logistics Manager beforehand for approval. Maintains a safe and clean working environment. Displays a willingness to work varied schedules, as some weekends will be required, i.e.,export shipments. Follow and enforce all SEL biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety regulations. Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills	Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. 2+ Years of good CDL driving record. Current or/non-expired Health Card is a plus Good Listener and verbal communicator. Honesty, trustworthy, team, as well as anindependent worker, passionate about the job as a whole, always willing to do what needs to be done, Straight-line backing, sharp turn entrance, etc. Maintaining consistente-logs.
