Job summary

Envirowaste Services Group, based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a CDL B Driver / Vac Truck Operator to join their growing team. The role offers a steady schedule with home time almost every day, and overtime opportunities to boost earnings.

Strong emphasis on safety, outdoor work, and hands-on responsibilities. You will operate VAC trucks, support storm and sewer line maintenance, and handle equipment with PPE adherence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class B CDL with Tanker endorsement.
• Experience with vacuum trucks and storm/sewer lines.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Capable of lifting and carrying 70+ pounds frequently.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to travel and work long hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate VAC truck; assist with storm and sewer line maintenance.
• Handle hands-on tasks such as lifting manhole lids and occasional entry into manholes.
• Manage VAC truck hydraulics and boom while following safety PPE guidelines.

Position: CDL B Driver / Vac Truck Operator

Location: Charlotte, NC

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 an hour plus overtime

What We’re Looking For:

• Class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement: Essential for operating our specialized vehicles. If you don’t have the endorsement, we will support you in obtaining it.
• Experience: Previous experience with vacuum trucks and storm/sewer lines is required.
• Manual Transmission Skills: Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Physical Fitness: Capability to lift and carry up to 70+ pounds frequently throughout the day.
• Team Player: A reliable, driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Commitment: Willingness to work long hours and travel when necessary.
• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Transportation: Reliable personal transportation is required.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Driving and Operation: Approximately 20% of your time will be spent driving, with the remaining 80% focused on operating the VAC truck and assisting with storm and sewer line maintenance.
• Hands-On Tasks: Lifting manhole lids and, if necessary, climbing into manholes to address various issues.
• Equipment Management: Operating VAC truck hydraulics and boom, while adhering to safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
