Job summary

Brown Foodservice, Inc. CDL Driver Training Program prepares trainees to pass the state skills test and obtain a class A CDL. Based out of our Sophia WV shuttle point, you will be an essential part of our team that has serviced customers since 1942.

Starting pay is $13.75/Pre-Permit and $14.75/Permit with responsibilities including safe deliveries, DOT compliance, and completing transportation paperwork.

Qualifications

• Must learn and adhere to DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication with management, drivers, sales, and customers.
• Willingness to learn applications and proprietary software.
• Good math skills and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer and deliver products on assigned routes.
• Comply with DOT and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documents.
• Inspect tractor-trailer before and after trips.
• Communicate issues to Senior Transportation Supervisor.
• Follow company safety and transport policies.
• Complete admin tasks to support transportation ops.
