Trainees work with a qualified trainer to develop driving skills and professional competencies, supporting customers with deliveries since 1942. Starting pay is $13.50 per pre-permit and $14.50 per permit, with growth as you advance through training and obtain licensure.

Qualifications

• Must learn and adhere to DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, squat, and stoop to accomplish the essential job functions.
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting of 50 lbs.
• Strong communication with management, drivers, sales, and customers.
• Ability to use new applications/proprietary software.
• Basic math skills required.
• Self-motivated; customer-focused.
• Active listening; independent thinking/decision-making; attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer and deliver products on assigned routes to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Comply with DOT and interstate traffic regulations.
• Maintain accuracy of delivered product with no damage from mishandling.
• Communicate issues to the Senior Transportation Supervisor by phone.
• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip.
• Operate vehicle with knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
• Maintain electronic driver logs per DOT regulations.
• Stay in contact with supervisor for delivery instructions.
• Follow company policies and safety rules; maintain professional appearance.
• Complete administrative tasks to support transportation operations.
