Job summary

TransWest in Seattle, WA is seeking a Driver Trainer to lead safety-driven onboarding for CDL, Non-CDL & ADA drivers. You will deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel training, coordinate with Operations, and promote a culture where safety is a core value.

The role requires at least three years of commercial driving, a CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement, and a current DOT medical card. Strong English communication and supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement.
• Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug test.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to communicate proficiently in English.
• Experience as a supervisor or lead preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and document driver safety training with initial safety orientation, classroom concepts and implementation of safe driving.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and safe workplace practices; assist with vehicle incidents and retraining.
• Instruct trainees on providing excellent client service; greet clients professionally and assist boarding/de-boarding.
• Maintain schedules and information for rider use; explain transportation options to riders.
• Perform road tests as needed.
• Instruct trainees on completing DOT pre-trips, post trips and inspections.
• Instruct trainees on fueling vehicles following company policies and state regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
