Job summary

Shaw Industries Group is seeking a Driver Spotter for the Savannah, GA plant to safely and efficiently move trailers within distribution centers. You will spot and move trailers into docks or yard locations and perform paperwork in English, with an emphasis on safety and accuracy.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, 2 of the last 3 or 3 of the last 5 years of tractor-trailer experience, a clean driving record, ability to work overtime, and the physical ability to enter and exit the truck up

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Must have 2 out of the last 3 or 3 out of the last 5 years of Tractor Trailer driving experience on the roadway.
• Must move trailers into docks or to specific yard locations.
• Must have a satisfactory driving record for the past three years.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to read and write in English to ensure accuracy on all paperwork.
• Must be capable of climbing into and out of truck, up to 40 times per day.
• Must be able to carry small rolls of carpet (up to 30 lbs.).
• Must be able to drive truck up to 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move trailers within the distribution centers.
• Move trailers into docks or to specific yard locations.
• Perform daily trailer spotting tasks and report any issues to supervision.
