Job summary

Colonial Fence Co. in Franklin, MA seeks a dependable CDL Driver / Shop Helper to join our growing team. Deliver fence materials to wholesale customers and job sites, pick up materials from vendors, and assist our fabrication shop during downtime.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A preferred; Class B considered depending on experience).
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds regularly.
• Indoor/outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Dependable with excellent attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift experience a plus (or willingness to be trained).
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company CDL vehicles to deliver fence materials to customers and job sites.
• Pick up materials, supplies, and equipment from vendors and suppliers.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and obtain required delivery documentation.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean and organized company truck.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Assist fabrication shop during downtime.
• Load and unload incoming shipments.
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and materials.
• Prepare materials for upcoming deliveries and installations.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed).
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist other departments with general labor tasks when required.
