Job summary

Sunset Farm Foods in Valdosta, Georgia is seeking a safe, dependable CDL driver to deliver our products and represent our family name with every customer. As a Driver 1, you will operate company CDL trucks on assigned routes, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure accurate deliveries while maintaining DOT compliance and strong customer service.

You'll load and unload pallets, handle receipts, and keep accurate logs in refrigerated environments, always upholding safety and food safety

Qualifications

• Valid CDL. Class A preferred.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• At least 2 years of recent CDL driving experience, or a recent graduate of an approved truck driving school.
• At least 23 years old.
• Clean driving record: no DUI/DWI in past 10 years; no more than 1 moving violation in past year or 2 in past 3 years.
• Ability to pass background check, DOT drug/alcohol test, DOT physical, and road test.
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company CDL trucks on assigned delivery routes and complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Pull, stage, load, and unload product using load sheets, invoices, and the Driver Manifest.
• Verify deliveries with customers, collect and turn in payments and trip receipts, and report delivery problems right away.
• Count, record, and put away newly produced product in the warehouse.
• Maintain your DOT driver's log and follow all safety, food safety, and DOT rules.
• Build positive relationships with our customers.
