Job summary

WM is seeking a commercial driver to operate heavy-duty trucks handling various load attachments and container pickup at diverse sites. You will follow safety rules, perform inspections, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure timely service.

The role emphasizes safe navigation, backing skills, and adherence to DOT and company protocols, with opportunities for training and advancement within WM’s transportation network.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement required.
• 1 year CDL driving experience in last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work.
• Able to read, write and speak English well enough for public interaction.
• Pre-employment drug screen and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy-duty trucks per WM safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Pre- and post-trip inspections using DVIR; report issues promptly.
• Attend training, briefings, and route optimization meetings.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies.
• Notify of incidents, accidents, or safety hazards.
• Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Dump receptacles completely and leave locations clean.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and checkout.
