Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions seeks a CDL Driver/Rigger in Abilene, TX to safely drive tractor-trailer rigs under DOT rules and assist with rigging and crating work. Candidates should have a Class A CDL with Air Brakes, 2+ years of CDL driving, and 3+ years in a construction-related field. Ability to operate forklifts and lifting equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with Air Brakes and combo endorsements.
• Minimum 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in construction service preferred.
• Basic knowledge of operating equipment like forklifts and man lifts.
• Experience with load securing and safe hauling practices.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
• Drive tractor-trailer rigs under DOT regulations to transport equipment to sites.
• Perform rigging, crating, and load securing tasks.
• Complete required paperwork daily.
• Operate and supervise hoisting and moving loads safely.
• Assist with setting up rigging and securing loads using hand and power tools.
