Job summary

MEI Rigging & Crating is seeking a Full Time Field Operations driver in Rayville, LA to operate tractors and trailers for equipment transport on a 6pm–6am nightly schedule. The role requires a valid CDL A and clean MVR, plus 2+ years of CDL driving with vans/flatbeds and manual transmissions.

Industrial experience is preferred, with opportunities to advance within a growing service provider.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR.
• 2+ years driving CDL with van/flatbed; experience with manual transmissions.
• 1+ year of industrial or construction service experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor & trailer to job sites in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Securely load and unload equipment; ensure loads are safely tied down.
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.

MEI's CDL Drivers are part of a rigging crew responsible for driving equipment to customer sites and working with heavy equipment at customer plants and construction sites.

This is a Monday - Friday night shift position, 6pm - 6am, local role.

• Drives safely and under DOT regulations tractor & trailer rigs to transport equipment and crews to job sites.
• Requires safe handling of loads, securement of loads, loading and unloading of equipment.
• Dismantles and store rigging equipment after use.
• Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment — Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor trailers, telehandlers, aerial boom lifts, etc.
• Basic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.)
• Experienced knowledge of load securing and safe hauling practices
• Ability to use tape measure; hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL and clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Minimum two (2) years driving experience at CDL level with Van and Flatbeds/must have experience with manual transmissions
• Minimum one (1) year of industrial experience or comparable experience within the construction service industry.
