Job summary

A family-owned waste management company in Madison, WI is seeking a CDL Driver for residential routes. The role focuses on safely operating heavy trucks, conducting vehicle inspections, and collaborating with Operations Managers to enhance route efficiency. Candidates should have a valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement, with prior waste industry experience preferred. Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Waste Industry utilizing a CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy trucks designed to haul solid waste and recycling.
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.
• Work closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies.
• Dump all trash/recycling and leave customer's location clean.
• Report issues or incidents to dispatch daily.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy trucks (side-loaders) designed to haul solid waste and recycling
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and document checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report)
• Work closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices
• Completely dump all trash/recycling and leave the customer's location clean and free of debris
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch on a daily basis
• Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs

Qualifications

• Previous experience in CDL truck driving or other related fields preferred
• Previous experience in the Waste Industry utilizing a CDL preferred (even higher pay rates available)
• CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Strong work ethic
