Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a qualified Driver to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and provide prompt, reliable collection services within a fast-paced waste management environment.

The role requires a Class B CDL, knowledge of DOT regulations, and a strong safety mindset. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, document reports, and maintain vehicle readiness while engaging with dispatchers and customers to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Class B commercial driver's license required.
• Must meet all qualifications under Department of Transportation regulations.
• Clearinghouse profile required.
• Substance abuse testing required both during onboarding and for ongoing employment.

Responsibilities

• Completes pre/post-operation checks of a commercial vehicle per FCC regulations.
• Operates and navigates vehicles on assigned routes including roads, neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Manages controls and joystick equipment in line with safety procedures.
• Interacts courteously with coworkers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure timely servicing.
• Monitors vehicle status to minimize downtime and maintain readiness.
• Completes required paperwork and reports accurately.
• Maintains productivity standards to service clients promptly and effectively.
• Follows all safety regulations and procedures.

Position Summary

The driver position is responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle and providing prompt and complete collection services.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes a pre/post-operation check of a commercial vehicle in line with FCC regulations to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, gauges, and other components are in correct operating condition.
• Ensures commercial vehicles are safely operated on allocated routes that encompass roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
• Ability to manually and/or automate controls and joystick equipment in compliance with the FCC's safety regulations and procedures.
• Engages courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure that all services are performed in a timely and professional way.
• Continuously monitors the vehicle's status to ensure it remains operationally ready in order to reduce downtime.
• Completes necessary paperwork and other reports accurately.
• Maintains departmental productivity standards to ensure all clients are serviced in a timely and effective way.
• Follows and enforces all safety regulations and procedures.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Garbage/Recycling experience preferred
• Class B commercial driver's license
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as necessary
• Must meet all qualifications as defined under Department of Transportation regulations
• Clearinghouse profile required
• FCC is a drug-free workplace. Substance abuse guidelines are in place. Substance abuse testing is a requirement for both the initial on-boarding procedure and random testing for continued employment.
