Job summary

Steel and Pipe Supply's Tulsa Service Center is seeking a professional CDL driver to join our outbound logistics team in Tulsa, OK. This role requires safe operation of tractor/trailer, securing cargo, completing paperwork accurately, and complying with transport regulations.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, paid in two installments. Benefits include weekly pay, potential for high earnings, a 401(k) with company match, medical and life insurance, disability coverage, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements.
• Valid Medical Card.
• Excellent driving record.
• Familiarity with relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry and secure heavy and oversized loads.
• Knowledge of securing different types of cargo, including oversized loads.
• 2 yrs of driving experience.
• 1 yr of flatbed experience.

Responsibilities

Description

Sign-on Bonus - $3000. Paid $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 60 days.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Safe operation of tractor/trailer
• Secure cargo using straps, chains and other securing devices to prevent shifting during transit
• Complete shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and on time
• Compliance with all regulations
• Report any accidents, incidents, or safety violations promptly
• Maintain communication with supervisor, sales and customers as required
• Equipment maintenance, required pre and post trip inspections
• Maintain all daily records, HOS, DVIR, proof of deliveries and fuel receipts

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Physically able to secure your loads with chains
• Physically able to protect your load with tarps
• Some over-night (layovers) are expected
• Continuous communication with different departments and our transportation network
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, moderately stressful, constantly changing day-to-day work environment

• Paid weekly, minimum weekly pay for OTR is $1,480.00, which requires you to check-in
  and check-out with your supervisor daily for any additional work assignments before
  leaving
• This position could be out 5 nights a week but usually 1-2 nights per week
• Top earners can make $90,000+
• Quarterly profit-sharing bonus.
