Qualifications

Description

Job Summary:

You will be an experienced CDL truck driver with Air brake endorsement utilizing Belly Dump, Bellied-Up, and Step-Deck trailers to move caliche for companies in the Oil and Gas industry, including water transfer, fuel services, and oilfield construction, in a safe and timely manner. These openings are based in Midland, Texas. Local drivers preferred. This is a non-HAZMAT position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Meet delivery schedules.
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
  • Drive Bellied-Up and Step-Deck trailers to move caliche.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions.
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations.

Qualification Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a CDL truck driver in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc).
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • No recent moving or driving violations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc).
  • Valid CDL truck driving license with Air brake endorsements utilizing Belly Dump, Bellied-Up, and Step-Deck trailers to move caliche.
  • 3 years of CDL driving experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Local Midland Drivers. No housing available.

Schedule/Benefits:

  • 5 days on, includes weekends, 2 days off, consecutive weekdays, 12-hour shift.
  • $25.00 an hour pay.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision starts on the first of the month following 30 days of work.
  • Start ASAP, once DOT application, background, and drug testing are completed successfully.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
