Job summary

Wisconsin Building Supply is seeking a CDL Driver I to safely transport building materials to job sites and distribution centers across Wisconsin. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure loads are secured for on-time delivery.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL, strong customer service, and adherence to DOT regulations. You will support warehouse tasks and operate truck equipment as needed, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL with Class A or B required; flat beds and/or tractor trailers experience preferred.
• 1–2 years CDL experience preferred; experience with lumber/building materials.
• Ability to read orders, perform basic math, and complete forms.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A or B commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Deliver to active construction sites and finished locations; may require inter-state travel.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain logs per DOT regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and relay messages from customers on job sites.
• Secure loads, verify orders for accuracy, and unload materials at destinations.
• Operate truck-mounted forklift to load/unload materials at job sites.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and organize inventory in warehouse/production areas.
