Job summary

Wisconsin Building Supply seeks a CDL Driver I to safely transport building materials to job sites and other locations. You will perform pre-/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and assist in loading and storage of materials.

Deliveries may include active construction sites and completed locations, with possible interstate travel. You will provide excellent customer service, secure loads, and ensure documentation and safety compliance at all times.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed build locations; city-based and interstate travel may be required.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Provides exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and addressing client needs.
• Secures and verifies loads for accuracy before departure and on delivery.
• Maintains DOT logs and adheres to hours-of-service requirements.
• Delivers and unloads materials safely, ensuring customer satisfaction at delivery.
• Assists in loading/unloading and organizing inventory in warehouse/production areas.
