Job summary

Permian Basin Materials is seeking a dedicated driver to load, transport, and unload ready mix concrete from our batch plant to customer sites. You will follow safety, service, and quality policies while delivering to specified locations.

The role requires driving a mixer truck, ensuring concrete slump and specs, and completing tickets with signatures. Training in ELD/paper logs and CDL is essential for compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean MVR.
• Experience with ELD and paper logs.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate mixer truck to deliver and unload concrete.
• Verify loads for slump and customer specifications.
• Complete work tickets legibly with detailed activity and customer signature.
• Follow dispatch or plant directions to maintain batch quality and delivery accuracy.
• Attach extension chutes as needed for efficient unloading.

Responsible for loading, transporting and unloading ready mix concrete from batch plant to customer job sites following established safety, service and quality policies and procedures.

Functional Responsibilities

• Drive and operate mixer truck to deliver and unload concrete safely at customer job site.
• Check load to ensure concrete product is consistent to customer specifications including slump and add mixtures.
• Complete work tickets for jobs legibly, timely and with full detailed description of activity and gains customer signature when needed.
• Follow written and oral instructions from dispatch or plant manager to ensure the quality of the concrete loaded into mixer drum is within customer specifications and to verify directions to customer locations.
• Attach extension chutes as needed to ensure efficient unloading.

Experience/Training/Certifications

• Minimum age of 21 years old required.
• Current, valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean MVR.
• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and paper logs.

Physical And Environmental Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 100 pounds from floor to waist or shoulder level occasionally
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds frequently
• Climb in and out of equipment 50+ times per day Climb up and down ladders occasionally
• Environment will vary from outdoors with varying noise levels and vibrations associated with construction equipment, and exposure to building materials, dust, and dirt at operating sites to a normal office environment.
