Job summary

The Atlanta Community Food Bank is seeking a professional Driver who will be in-office at our East Point locations and available for weekend and flexible hours as needed. You will operate Food Bank vehicles, follow routes, and provide outstanding customer service while representing the Food Bank.

Qualified candidates have a valid Georgia CDL A, MEC, and a clean driving record. You will inspect vehicles, load/unload responsibly, and ensure on-time deliveries to our partners and programs.

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
• Experience operating a Class A commercial vehicle.
• Safe driving record and ability to provide an MVR meeting requirements.
• Ability to meet DOT Clearinghouse requirements and Driver Qualification (DQ) File obligations.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and deliver food and materials to partners, agencies, donors, and events.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy before departure and upon arrival.
• Load and unload products using appropriate equipment and safe handling practices.
• Follow routes and schedules while adapting to changing priorities and conditions.
• Operate trucks, lift gates, pallet jacks, forklifts safely and per Food Bank policies.
• Comply with DOT regulations and Food Bank safety standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and required records.
