Position Summary

Drives truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

Follows schedules and uses navigation apps to plan each route based on road and traffic conditions.
Ensures accuracy of logs and other required documentation according to state and federal regulations.
May load and unload truck.
Practices safe driving habits and follows all safety regulations and standards.
Performs vehicle maintenance checks and arranges regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle.
May perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.
Routes checked incoming materials, supplies, or equipment to the warehouse or other designated areas.
Keeps records on incoming shipments and returns.
May operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
