$21.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and/or from customer locations; ensure effective and incident-free delivery or pickup of a container while maintaining excellent rapport with the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer sites safely, following all safety rules.
2. Perform and log daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the commercial vehicle and lift.
3. Accept add-on deliveries as required to meet business needs.
4. Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation.
5. Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane.
6. Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery to customers.
7. Coordinate rental paperwork and payments with the customer.
8. Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer questions or issues; prepare driver notes as needed.
9. Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center.
10. Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
11. Maintain cleanliness of the truck cab (inside and outside).
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid CDL Class B License required without air brake restriction.
3. Must maintain a current/valid driver license.
4. Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
5. Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement).
6. Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain a minimum of a 1-year certification (DOT requirement).
7. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred.
8. Possess math skills sufficient to perform required duties.
9. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
10. Ability to attend required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
