Job summary

Stripe-A-Zone, a Frontline Road Safety Group company, seeks a CDL Driver/Laborer to support pavement marking projects nationwide. You will drive heavy trucks, load and unload materials, perform DOT inspections, and keep detailed logs. Routine travel is required, typically two weeks at a time, with lodging and per diem provided.

Pay ranges from $21.00 to $22.00 per hour with overtime and benefits including health, 401(k), and paid time off/holidays. Valid CDL required; Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles over 26,000 lbs GVW.
• Ensure contents secured in a truck flatbed.

• Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely transport.
• Maintain vehicle and logs daily.
• Loading, unloading, and driving trucks.
• Adhere to company rules and traffic laws.
• Other duties may be assigned; safety priority.

CDL Driver/Laborer (Pavement Marking/Striping)

• Pay Rate: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on CDL type and related experience. Overtime + Benefits, including Health, 401(k), and Paid Time Off/Holidays.
• Routine travel is required, typically two weeks at a time. (Lodging/Per Diem provided).
• MUST HAVE A VALID CDL LICENSE (A preferred).

CDL Driver/Laborer Job Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
• Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck flatbed to prevent damage/injury.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies and procedures. Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route. Fuels truck as needed.
• Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport.
• Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs and submit daily.
• Loading, unloading, and driving trucks.
• Bend and reach to load and unload van, truck, or personal vehicle.
• Adhere to company rules and regulations.
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Always make safety a priority.

CDL Driver/Laborer Required Qualifications

• Possess great physical stamina and focus during long driving shifts.
• Comfortable with long-haul transport
• Proficient in using GPS and other routing systems.
• Map reading and route planning experience.
• An innate sense of direction
• Initiative-taker who works well independently.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
• Elevated level of composure and good stress management

CDL Driver/Laborer Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required - Class A preferred.
• 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred but not required.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
• Alert, focused, and meticulous.
• Physically and mentally fit
• Ability to lift and move fifty pounds at a time.
