Job summary

U.S. Silica is seeking a CDL Driver I to transport materials safely within site and local areas, following all safety and regulatory guidelines. You will operate belly dump trailers, load with front-end loaders, and tarp product for secure delivery.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, coordinating with supervisors, and adhering to company safety policies. A high school diploma or GED is required, with endorsements for doubles and tankers encouraged and a current DOT medical card

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Endorsements for Doubles and Tankers.
• DOT Physical and Medical Card, current.
• Prior CDL and heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Good attendance history required.
• Flexible work schedule.
• Strong attention to detail.
• High level of safety and quality.
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced outdoor conditions.
• MSHA knowledge preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Computer software proficiency preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate single or double belly dump trailers delivering ore to the production facility.
• Load with front-end loaders and tarping of the product.
• Maintain radio communication with the Supervisor for delivery instructions.
• Operate loaders and other heavy equipment.
• Operate water truck as needed.
• Inspect and maintain safety of all equipment.
• Follow all state, federal regulations and safety policies.
• Communicate clearly in English (written and spoken).
• Additional duties as assigned.
