The CDL Driver I delivers materials to job sites, inspects and maintains trucks, reports shortages, and assists in loading and storing materials. The role typically involves driving trucks with a capacity of over three tons, with opportunities for less experienced CDL or tractor trailer drivers.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a valid Class A or B CDL license.
• Prepare DOT logs for duty and driving hours.
• Organize and secure loads.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Check orders for accuracy and deliver to customer satisfaction.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Follow DOT guidelines and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Maintain cleanliness of trucks and yard.
• Operate truck-mounted forklifts safely.
• Participate in training and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic CDL experience, preferably with flatbeds and tractor trailers.
• 1-3 years of CDL experience for interstate commerce.
• Ability to perform basic math, read orders, and communicate professionally.
• Maintain valid operator’s license and meet driver qualification standards.
• Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and current technologies (smartphones, GPS).
• Class A and B CDL licenses required.
