Job summary

Nation’s Best Texas is hiring a CDL Driver to deliver goods to designated locations and support daily yard operations at our lumber yard. You will maintain a customer-focused approach, communicate effectively, and help keep the yard organized and safe.

The role requires a clean driving record, a valid CDL, ability to lift heavy items, and willingness to travel locally. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with a team that values continuous improvement and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and valid CDL driver's license.
• 1+ year of forklift experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel locally.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb ladders, reach and bend.
• Team-oriented and flexible for yard operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods and materials to designated locations.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach and uphold company values.
• Manage time and schedules efficiently for on-time deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively.
• Ensure a clean driving record and practice safe driving habits.
• Support day-to-day yard operations when not actively delivering, including loading, organizing and stocking materials, operating a forklift and assisting wherever needed.
• Contribute to a safe, organized and efficient lumber yard as the business grows.
• Travel locally for deliveries and pick-ups.
• Utilize building material experience if available.
• Lift and carry items 25-50lbs consistently.
• Be flexible to work overtime when needed.
• Additional duties as assigned.
