Job summary

GXO Logistics in New Jersey is seeking a CDL Driver/PITOperator to safely operate, transfer and deliver freight using 53ft tractor trailers. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with early starts and a strong benefits package starting on day one.

You’ll maintain logs and inspections, handle basic equipment maintenance, and work in a safety-first environment where your input matters. The team emphasizes reliability, consistency, and professional conduct daily.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience.
• A current valid driver’s license and clean driving record over the past 2 years.
• A current valid CDL class A and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, transfer and deliver freight utilizing 53ft tractor trailer in and out of loading doors.
• Maintain required documentation, including daily logs, vehicle inspection records, mileage, unloading and shipping records.
• Provide basic equipment maintenance and report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Properly secure loads and ensure all loads are within weight limits.
• Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices.
