Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits in Syosset, NY is seeking a Distribution Driver Helper to support delivery drivers on assigned routes. The role offers CDL training to help qualified candidates obtain their license and begin a career in professional distribution.

As a full-time teammate, you will deliver products to licensed retailers, check-in orders, collect payments, maintain delivery logs, and participate in safety meetings.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a warehousing or distribution environment.
• Must obtain Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Experience in a warehousing environment and knowledge of MS Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, presentation, and communication skills.
• Willingness to attend safety trainings and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products as invoiced to licensed retailers.
• Check-in invoiced orders with customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Collect and return all payments as required.
• Account for all invoices of delivered merchandise and merchandise returned.
• Collect empty boxes for redelivery as needed.
• Ensure delivery logs are completed and check-in procedures followed.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and participate in safety programs.
• Drive equipment safely within licensing requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
