Job summary

Gunnison Tree Services is seeking a CDL Driver to operate a low-boy or flatbed truck, delivering heavy equipment and materials to various job sites. You will be responsible for safe transportation, loading/unloading, and securing equipment to trailers in compliance with DOT regulations.

The role requires 18+ years old, valid Class A CDL, and ability to pass drug and alcohol screens. Prior experience in construction or related environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and satisfactory driving record required per Company policy.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety practices.
• Ability to load/unload and secure loads.
• Commitment to safe operation and roadworthiness.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck with trailer, hauling equipment to and from garage/storage to work sites.
• Positions chains, straps, and binders to secure loads during transit.
• Loads and unloads equipment on trailers.
• Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintains logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintains and checks truck, trailer, and supplies to ensure road-worthiness.
• Performs minor emergency roadside repairs as needed.
• Works various shifts based on the needs of the job.
