The role
Superior Environmental Solutions (SES) is looking for a safety-focused CDL Driver / Equipment Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety by complying with all work practices, rules, regulations, and policies.
- Drive and operate CDL equipment such as Roll-Off Trucks, Flat Bed Trucks, Vacuum Trucks, and Service Trucks; perform Pre/Post Trip inspections.
- Document all required company, federal, state, and customer paperwork clearly and accurately.
- Operate high-pressure water-blaster and vacuum equipment.
- Perform field technician duties like shoveling and tank cleaning.
- Communicate professionally with on-site customer representatives.
- Lead and direct subordinate personnel safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment.
- Maintain equipment and company property in good condition.
- Work in elevated or confined spaces and adhere to safety procedures (training provided).
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Class “A” or “B” CDL license with Tanker Endorsement (N) or Tanker and Hazardous (X) endorsement, air brakes, and current DOT medical certificate. Restrictions like No Air Breaks (L), Intrastate Only (K), etc., are not acceptable.
- Experience driving manual 10-speed or higher transmission.
- Maintain insurability under company insurance.
- Ability to work in elevated or confined spaces, and understand safety procedures (training provided).
- English proficiency for safety instructions and emergencies.
- Pass pre-employment and ongoing substance screenings and background checks.
- Willing to travel overnight as required.
- Able to perform Technician 1 duties within 30 days, and Technician 2 & 3 within the first year.
- Physical ability to sit, lift (minimum 40 pounds), and work in extreme conditions.
- Capable of climbing ladders and working at heights or in confined spaces.
