Job summary

Enerbase Cooperative Resources in Crosby, ND is seeking a full-time CDL Driver with Class B CDL or higher and hazmat endorsement to safely deliver propane to customers. The position offers potential to earn $100,000+ annually and includes training for propane delivery requirements.

You will operate a large tank truck, load and unload using pumps, maintain delivery records, inspect the vehicle, and follow DOT safety rules.

Qualifications

• History of safe driving with minimal traffic violations.
• Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety, health, and operations procedures and directives. Completion of specialized training for fuel tanker operations, including safety procedures and emergency response.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following quality and safety guidelines.
• Adherence to use of required personal protective equipment including safety toed shoes.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumps and valves to load the tank truck at terminals and unload at customer sites, accurately measuring quantities delivered.
• Follow assigned delivery routes, navigating different road conditions and weather situations to reach destinations on time.
• Perform pre-shift inspections of the truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, and safety equipment.
• Adhere to DOT safety regulations for fuel and propane transportation, including weight limits, hours of service, and hazardous materials handling.
• Maintain delivery records, complete paperwork including bills of lading and manifests, and report incidents or discrepancies.
• Know how to respond to emergencies like spills, leaks, or accidents involving the fuel tank, taking appropriate safety measures.
• Conduct on-location farm/agricultural, earth mover and semi tire repairs using tire truck with crane and related tools.
• Performs other duties as requested.

Job description

Enerbase is a locally owned cooperative that supplies its patrons with goods and services. We are currently seeking a full-time CDL Driver with Class B CDL or higher, and hazmat endorsement for our Crosby location. This position has the potential to earn $100,000+ annually.

Responsible for safely and efficiently transporting propane to designated locations by driving a large tank truck, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, maintaining accurate delivery records, and performing routine vehicle inspections throughout the delivery process. Position will also periodically operate tire truck for on location repairs at farm/agricultural equipment. Company is willing to train for propane delivery requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operating pumps and valves to load the tank truck at terminals and unload at customer sites, accurately measuring quantities delivered

2. Following assigned delivery routes, navigating different road conditions and weather situations to reach destinations on time.

3. Performing thorough pre-shift inspections of the truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, and safety equipment to ensure operational readiness.

4. Adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) safety regulations regarding fuel and propane transportation, including weight limits, hours of service, and hazardous materials handling

5. Maintaining accurate delivery records, completing necessary paperwork including bills of lading and manifests, and reporting any incidents or discrepancies.

6. Knowing how to respond to potential emergencies like spills, leaks, or accidents involving the fuel tank, taking appropriate safety measures.

7. Conduct on location farm/agricultural, earth mover and semi tire repairs. Repairs will be completed through use of tire truck with crane, chloride pump if necessary. These tasks do require the use of specialty tools and hand tools for repairs.

8. Performs other duties as requested.
