Local CDL A or Local CDL B Driver w/ Knuckleboom or w/ Crane Certification

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, known as a Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator certification, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Drivers operate within a 200-mile radius of their home branch, with no overnight stays required.

  3. Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
  4. Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
  5. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
  6. Validate inventory loaded on the truck, compare with purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, confirm addresses, and obtain routing information before leaving the branch
  7. Conduct a job site inspection, document existing damage, and note the location of utilities and features like power lines, sprinklers, and fences
  8. Capture pictures of all delivered building products in accordance with Company Policy
Requirements
  1. Valid Class A or Class B CDL
  2. Truck Crane Operation Certification (a plus)
  3. Telescopic Boom - Fixed Cab Certification (a plus)
  4. Boom Truck - Fixed Cab Certification (a plus)
  5. Articulating Boom Crane Certification (a plus)
  6. Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, with experience operating forklifts or Moffett preferred
  7. Safe driving record with no recent hit & runs or DWI/DUI in the last three years; severe violations or multiple accidents in the past year will be reviewed
  8. Prior experience in commercial driving and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations is a plus
  9. Experience in distribution is a plus
  10. Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  11. Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials (rarely applicable)
  12. Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the last 12 months
  13. Authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
