Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a CDL Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for members, volunteers, participants, and employees. The role reports to the Program Director and supports the YMCA mission through reliable vehicle operation.

Shifts include Monday through Friday mornings and afternoons. CDL with P and S endorsements, clean driving record, and ability to pass random drug tests are required. The YMCA offers competitive pay and valuable benefits in Reston, VA.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Clear the local jurisdiction requirements for criminal background check.
• Must have a Commercial Drivers License with P Endorsement and S Endorsement.
• Must provide a copy of driving record and should have no points.
• Must take random drug screenings.
• All speeding tickets and parking tickets must be paid by the driver.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable federal and state regulations regarding the operation of various types of vehicles.
• Transport YMCA participants to and from school, events, field trips, etc.
• Pre-inspect vehicle before leaving and after returning using inspection reports.
• Ensure the vehicle has an accident reporting and First Aid kit with Bloodborne Pathogen equipment.
• Manage students/participants to ensure safe operation of the vehicle.
