CDL Driver (Commercial Drivers License Driver)

Position Description

A Class A Driver at SET Environmental is responsible for:

1. Safely transporting material from customer sites to disposal and treatment facilities in compliance with DOT regulations.
2. Ensuring the health and safety of the customer, equipment, and site by adhering to SET safety policies and procedures, identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards.
3. Working in tandem with SET field service personnel on various projects.
4. Performing daily inspections of equipment and supplies needed for projects.
5. Operating various types of equipment, including but not limited to:

• Roll-off trailer and straight truck
• Vacuum and product tankers
• 48' and 53' Dry van
• Flatbed, lowboy trailers
• 3000-gallon liquid vac truck

Performing other miscellaneous duties as necessary.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience, including tractor trailer experience.
• Tanker, Haz-Mat endorsement or ability to obtain.
• Ability to perform out-of-town runs as needed and be available for on-call rotation.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Maintain electronic driver’s logs on a company-provided smartphone.
• Must pass and maintain physical requirements, including a valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record that meets SET insurance requirements.
